1. Who we are

Streams8K ("we", "us") operates the website streams8k.com, a free collection of online tools. You can contact us at streams8k2@gmail.com or by WhatsApp.

2. The short version

Most of the tools on this site are client-side: they run entirely in your browser. Your photos, audio and text simply do not leave your device for tools such as Background Remover, Image Resizer, ASCII Art, Voice to Text and Transcriber. We have no account system and we do not sell, rent or share personal data.

3. Data that never leaves your device

• Photos and files you use with browser-based tools (background removal, resizing, sketch, retro filters, video tools, transcription, and similar).
• Text you convert, count or analyze in the browser-only utilities.
• Your microphone audio for Voice to Text and live dictation stays on your device.
• Voice Chat listens only in your browser: your speech is converted to text locally, and nothing else is captured.

4. Where third parties are involved

Almost everything runs in your browser with no external processing. A few small features reach outside:

• AI tools (Image Generator, AI Chat, PDF Chat, AI Voice Chat, Paraphraser, Email Writer, YouTube Script Generator) — when you type or dictate a prompt, question or text, only that text is sent to Pollinations AI (a free, privacy-friendly AI service) to generate the result. Your microphone audio and uploaded files are never sent there.
• Text to Speech downloads — if you download the MP3, the typed text is sent to Google Translate's free text-to-speech endpoint to render the voice file. It is not stored. Live preview stays on your device.
• Currency Converter — asks ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com) for daily exchange rates. No personal data is included.
• QR Scanner — reads images entirely in your browser using the open-source jsQR library, which is loaded from a CDN.
• WhatsApp contact button — clicking it opens WhatsApp (Meta Platforms), which handles any message you send under WhatsApp's privacy policy. You can reach us at streams8k2@gmail.com or WhatsApp instead.

5. Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and operational purposes. We do not combine these with personal identifiers.

6. Cookies & advertising

We do not set cookies ourselves. Third-party services (e.g. Google AdSense) may set cookies when you interact with them. Opt out at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

7. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing of your data. Because we store almost nothing about you, exercising these rights usually requires no action.

9. Security and retention

We do not operate user accounts or databases of uploaded files. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here.
